The pandemic brought into sharp focus the critical need for the industry, academia, governments, regulators, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem to intensify their collaboration for ensuring healthcare innovation at scale and delivery with equitable access. With this context, the 20th edition of Asia’s largest Life Sciences and Healthcare forum featured to explore the theme of ‘Advancing for ONE: Shaping the next generation of humanized healthcare’.

The ‘Innovation Zone’, organised by the Telangana government, featured a start-up stage pavilion. With its commitment to driving innovation, over 75 short-listed startups are being given participation fee waivers in addition to a free display booth. The event provided promising startups focused on pharma, biotech, life sciences, health-tech and med-tech sectors a global stage to exhibit their innovative ideas, the organisers announced on Thursday.

Among 75 start-ups shortlisted from across the world, five, including two from Telangana, were selected for cash awards at the BioAsia 2023. A 12- member jury comprising experts from diverse fields selected the five startups for most innovative and futuristic products and services.
